“The mission of the 96 Society is to positively impact the lives of undergraduate members of the Xi-Iota Chapter of Kappa Sigma and provide a solid scholarship foundation. The 96 Society is dedicated to lead a collaborative network to support student preparation, transition, and persistence to degree completion.”

Gage Dempsey $750 Scholarship

My thanks and appreciation to the 96 Society and fellow philanthropists for your generosity. The scholarship I received helped me pay for school books and pay off some student loans, As I finish up my last semester of nursing school, I look back on my college experience. I am truly grateful for Kappa Sigma and my brothers, and to have been blessed with such a prestigious award. I am eager to become a 96 Society member this spring, thank you again. AEKDB

Rob Monfort $1,000 Scholarship

“With the scholarship I received from the 96 society, I was able to help pay for my applications to medical school as well as travel to them for my interviews. the 96 Society is a fantastic way for alumni to show the undergrads that their hard work in the fraternity and the classroom is paying off. I cannot thank the 96 Society enough for your generosity and  helping grow the Xi-Iota chapter to where it is today.  I want to thank everyone who donated to this scholarship foundation. Torrey Wiley is a founding member (‘96) and an alumni brother of the Xi-Iota Chapter of Kappa Sigma at Columbus State University. He served in leadership positions in the fraternity and graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Science in 1997.  Torrey has worked for Pfizer Pharmaceuticals for twenty-six years as a Senior Healthcare Sales Representative.  For the past twenty years he has volunteered as the Xi-Iota Chapter Alumnus Advisor. He is married to Laura Wiley and has two boys – Forest (7) and Chandler (5). During his free time he enjoys time with his family, running, and golf. 

Kyle Williams

Kyle Williams

Kyle Williams is an alumni of the Xi-Iota Chapter of Kappa Sigma and became a member in 2012. He then finished his degree at Columbus State University graduating with an Exercise Science degree (2014) while serving in various leadership positions in the Fraternity. Since then, Kyle married his wife (Courtney) in 2019 and has been working in the Insurance industry for the past 5 years. In his spare time, Kyle enjoys playing golf and volunteering in his local church in his spare time.

Adam Jones

Adam Jones

Adam Jones is an alumni of the Xi-Iota Chapter of Kappa Sigma and became a member in 2010. He then finished his degree at Columbus State University graduating with an Early Childhood Education Degree in (2012) and returning to CSU for a graduate degree in Educational Leadership (2019). Adam served in various leadership positions in the Fraternity (Grand Procurator). Adam has been an educator in Muscogee County School District since 2013 serving as a teacher and Elementary Dean. Adam is married to his wife (Hilary) also a CSU graduate. Adam has two sons Barrett (4) and Briar (2). In his spare time, Adam enjoys playing golf, hunting, fishing and watching football.

Michael Govar

Michael Govar

Michael Govar is an alumni brother of the Xi-Iota Chapter of Kappa Sigma at Columbus State University (’04). He served in various leadership positions in the fraternity including GM and GT. Michael graduated CSU with his BBA in 2007. Michael has worked for Marsh & McClendon Agency for 19 years. He is married to Stephanie and has three girls Mackenzie, Kaitlyn, and Emersyn. During his free time he enjoys sports, fishing, and tinkering.
